There is definitely nothing better after a long ride then a big bowl of muesli with ice-cold milk and bananas – and for this, Miss Muesli, we salute you and include you as an honorary member of the Bike Gang, especially if you’re delicious toasted bircher muesli, then we might even let you join our marriage, not only the bike gang. Damn, that sounds HOT.
Why muesli is our favourite cycle tour breakfast
Good quality muesli contains sugars in the form of dried fruits, and fat in the form of nuts. Both of these nutrients are in their natural form and in quantities that make an ideal recovery snack after a hard training session, or convenient at your desk after riding to work. The combination of cereals, dried fruits and nuts is a bo$$ mix.
It is also just plain old delicious. I will eat breakfast every day for the rest of my life, and touring or not, I’d always prefer it be muesli.
